Our Story

Brett Rigby graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree before obtaining a Diploma of Business Insurance from Mohawk College. During his 15 year career working with various insurers, he was an adjuster, independent adjuster, AB/BI claims manager and ADR representative. He has handled hundreds of FSCO mediations, private mediations, arbitration pre-hearings and appeared at trial. He has carried this extensive understanding of the unique nuances of insurance to Elite Investigative Services since 2013. He has since surrounded himself with an experienced team of investigators and support staff across Canada with a background in both insurance and policing to ensure every investigation is tailored to its specific needs. Brett has been a workshop co-presenter to OTLA, a guest speaker at various conferences and was featured prominently in the award winning documentary "Stolen Time" which highlights his mass tort nursing home negligence investigation.
